Fatal road traffic collicion at Ballyfermot, Dublin on the 24/2/11

Gardai in Ballyfermot are investigating a fatal road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Ballyfermot Road at approximately 10pm on the 24/2/11.

A woman in her 70’s was seriously injured when she was struck by a car. She was taken to St. James Hospital and later pronounced dead. There was no one else injured.

The road was closed for a time to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. The examination has been completed and the road has reopened.
