Gardai in Togher, Cork are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the Ringaskiddy Road (N28) at approximately 7am on the 29.12.11.
A truck was in collision with a male pedestrian in his 30’s which resulted in the pedestrian being fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to Cork University Hospital. The driver of the truck was not injured.
This stretch of road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
