Drug seizure and arrests in Cork on the 22/12/11

As a part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs Gardai attached to the Cork Divisional Drug Unit carried out an operation on the 22nd December 2011.

During the operation a house was searched in Dillons Cross area of Cork City yesterday evening where herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €250,000 (subject to analysis) was seized.  Two men aged in their 30's and 40's were arrested as part of the investigation. 
 

They are currently detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, 1996, at Gurranabraher and Mayfield Garda Stations.
