Gardai in Ballymun are investigating the circumstances of a serious road traffic collision on Coultry Roadd, Ballymun on the 5th August 2011.
The collision between a car and pedestrian occurred at approx 5.34pm on the the 5th August 2011 on Coultry Road. The pedestrian (23yrs) received serious injuries and was taken to the Mater Hospital where his condition is described as critical but stable. The driver of the car was uninjured in the collision.
The road was closed to facilitate a Forensic collision examination and is due to re open at approx 11pm this evening.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them at Ballymun Garda station on 01 666 4400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
