Gardai at Pearse Street investigating a serious assault which occured at Temple Lane South, Temple Bar, Dublin 2 at about 12.45am, on Sunday, the 14th August 2011 have charged a 23 year old male he will appear in Court 1, Criminal Courts of Justice at 2pm today, the 15th August 2011.
The other man remains in Garda custody.

Gardai at Pearse St are investigating a serious assault which occured at Temple Lane South, Temple Bar, Dublin 2 at about 12.45am, on Sunday the 14th August 2011.
A male (26yrs) was seriously injured in the incident, he was taken to St James Hospital and transferred to Beumount where he remains in a critical condition.
Two males (in their 20's) were later arrested by Gardai and are being detained under the provisions of Sec 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended at Pearse Street Garda station.
Gardai would like to talk to anyone who was in the Temple Lane South area of Temple Bar between midnight and 1am on the 14th August 2011 or anyone that has information in relation the incident to Contact Pearse St at 01-6669000, the Garda confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
