Gardaí in Blanchardstown investigating a shooting incident which occurred at a public house in Mulhuddart on Saturday, the 2nd April 2011 at approximately 11.50pm have carried out a number of searches and arrested two men.

A number of shots were fired at the front door of a Public house injuring a 50 year old man, his injuries are not life threatening.<_o3a_p>
In an operation carried out yesterday (the 5/4/11) six (6) houses were searched in Blanchardstown and Maynooth. Two men (19yrs and 22 yrs) were arrested and are currently detained at Blancharstown Garda Station under Section 30 Offences against the State Act 1939.<_o3a_p>
A car which Gardaí believe was used in the incident was recovered on Sunday evening in the north of the city.<_o3a_p>
Investigations are continuing.<_o3a_p>
