Seizure of cannabis herb seizure in Sligo on the 7/4/11

As part of an intelligence led joint operation between the Gardai in Sligo and Customs, a dwelling was searched on Chapel Hill Road, Sligo on the 7th April 2011 at approx 4pm.

During the course of the search Gardai and Customs discovered almost 4 kilos of cannabis herb with a street value of approx. €44,000 (subject to analysis).  A male 28yrs was arrested and is being detained in Sligo Garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.<_o3a_p>
