Gardai investigating the activities of organised criminals in Dublin carried out an operation this morning the 8th of April 2011. During the operation a number of searches were carried out.
Three people were arrested (2 males 54 & 46yrs and a female 55yrs). All 3 are being detained under the provisions of Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended. They are being held in <_st13a_street _w3a_st="on"><_st13a_address _w3a_st="on">Store Street, Bridewell and Whitehall Garda Stations.<_o3a_p>

During the course of the searches Gardai seized a small amount of ammunition (subject to ballistic examination) and approx. €500.00 worth of cocaine (subject to analysis).

The operation involves searches of a number of properties in the North of the city and in the North inner city.<_o3a_p>

Gardai from the North Central Division supported by the Special Detective Unit and the Garda Dog Unit are carrying out the searched. The operation involves upwards of 100 gardaí.<_o3a_p>
