Gardai in Tallaght investigating the false imprisonment and abduction of a bank official from a house in Tallaght on the 22.06.10 have arrested a male in his 30’s this morning in the Dublin area in relation to the incident.
He is due to appear at Court number 2, the Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street at 10.30am. He is the second person to be charged in relation to the incident.

Gardaí in Tallaght have launched an investigation following the false imprisonment and abduction of a bank official (male) and another person (male) from a house in Deerpark, Kiltipper area in Tallaght.
At approximately 1.30 a.m. this morning (22/6/10) a demand was made that the bank official obtain a sum of money from the bank and await instructions. It is believed that up to three individuals (all male) were involved, at least two of whom were believed to be armed (short arms). The three men took the second male away from the house in Deerpark.
The bank official operating under duress went to the bank as instructed and on to a specified location where he handed over a of sum money. Shortly after 1.30 p.m. the second man was released and sought assistance from the Gardaí in Coolock.
When gardaí were alerted to the incident an immediate operation was put in place.
Gardaí are appealing for information from the public on any activity which they might have seen in the following areas:
In the Deerpark, Kiltipper area between the hours of 11 pm last night (21/6/10) and 3.30 am this morning 22/6/10.
Allied Irish Bank, Crumlin Cross, Dublin 12 between 8.30am and 12 noon 22/6/10
The area around the Red Cow roundabout shortly after 12 noon today (the location to which the bank official was directed.)
The location where the second man was released at the junction of Drumnigh Road and Moyne Road, Portmarnock at about 1.30 p.m. today
Both men have been through a traumatic experience and while we appreciate any assistance that media can give us in appealing for information on this crime, we would ask that they respect the privacy of the individuals involved as far as possible.
