Seizure of Cannabis resin in Bantry, Cork on the 6th Sept 2010

Gardai from Bantry seized approx 5 kilos of cannabis grass (subject to analysis) value approx €60,000 and a number of cannabis plants value €4,500 (subject to analysis) during a planned search of farm buildings in the Kealkill area of Bantry.

A female 52 yrs and a male 21 yrs were arrested and are currently being detained in Bantry Garda station under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
