Gardai investigating the murder of Aidan Byrne on the 20th February 2010 have this morning (1/9/10) arrested 4 men. The men, 3 aged in their 20s and one in his 30's, were arrested in the Dublin area.
They are currently detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act, 2007, at the Bridewell, Pearse Street, Store Street and Mountjoy Garda Stations.

Gardai investigating the murder of a man in his early 30’s yesterday evening (previous release below refers) have arrested a male in his late 20's.
He is currently being detained at the Bridewell Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
The post mortem has been completed and the results have been supplied to the investigation team.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have knowledge regarding the incident to come forward.
The shooting took place in a cul-de-sac off Drumalee Avenue, off the North Circular Road near the junction with Aughrim Street.
The victim was sitting in the passenger seat of a car when he was shot a number of times. A male who was seen running from the scene of the shooting ran from the scene into Drumalee Park and from there may have made his escape either onto Aughrim Street or through Drumalee Court to Prussia Street.
The male is described as follows: between 5’9” and 5’11” in height and of thin build. He was wearing a grey hoodie and either grey tracksuit bottoms or jeans.
Gardai are appealing for people who were in the area at the time or passing through the area to assist them in their investigation.

Gardai in the Bridewell in Dublin are investigating a fatal shooting incident which occurred at Drumalee Avenue off the North Circular Road in Dublin at 8.45pm this evening – 20th February 2010.
A male in his early thirties was discovered in the passenger seat of a car. He had sustained what appear to be a number of gunshot wounds to the chest.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before 9.30pm.
The scene is currently being preserved pending a technical examination.
