The truck has now been removed from the front gates of Leinster House. The 41 year old male remains in custody.

Gardai in Pearse Street have arrested a 41 year old male following damage that was done to the front gates of Leinster House earlier this morning (29.09.10) by a truck.
The male is currently detained at Pearse Street Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. No one was injured in the incident and there is no traffic disruption on Kildare Street. Gardai are in the process of removing the truck.
