Gardai, officers from Revenues Customs Service and Environmental Protection Agency officers from Monaghan County Council have uncovered an illegal dump and an illegal diesel laundering plant near Caltleblaney, Co.Monaghan.
In an operation lead by Gardai, a premises at Reban, Shantonagh, Castleblaney was searched this morning the 3rd of September 2010. The operation uncovered an illegal dump as well as a diesel laundering plant.
The area is sealed off and a forensic technical examination of the scene is underway. There were no arrests and the operation is ongoing.
