Gardai at Mullingar are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N52 at Robinstown, Delvin, Co. Westmeath on the Clonmellon Road at approximately 2pm on the 06.09.10.
A 39 year old woman who was the driver and sole occupant of a jeep type vehicle was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar. The male driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle, an articulated truck, did not require hospital treatment.
The road is currently closed for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
