As part of an ongoing operation Gardai from the Garda National Drugs Unit and Blanchardtown Drug Unit have this afternoon 22nd Sept 2010 searched 2 houses in the Castleknock area of Dublin.
During the course of the search 45 kilos of herbal cannabis (subject to analysis) value €550,000 was located in one house. In another house Gardai found 600 cannabis plants (subject to analysis) value €240,000 and 8 kilos of herbal cannabis(subject to analysis) value €96,000.
One male 53yrs has been arrested and is being detained in Blanchardtown Garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. Investigations are ongoing.
