A photo opportunity will take place at the launch of the 2010 Garda/Unicef Charity Golf Classic, to be held at Glasson Golf & Country Club on Friday 24th September 2010 at 11am.
Interviews will be facilitated and a selection of motorcycles will available for photographing at the launch.
A similar Golf Classic was held in May 2007 at Roscommon Golf Club in which 50 teams participated over one day.
The event was a fundraising effort whereby a travelling party of 70 members of An Garda Siochána and Civilians, crossed ROUTE 66 on motorcycles, raising €403,000 for UNICEF to assist in Aid Programmes in Mozambique.
The target over the two days of this year’s event which takes place on Thursday 30th September and Friday 1st October 2010 is 80 teams of four (320 golfers) from all over Ireland, North & South. A wide variety of footballers from all corners of the country are included in the teams that are entered for this golf classic which promises to be a great two day event.
