Firearm seizure in Tallaght, Dublin on the 14/10/10

As part of ongoing operations targeting the activities of dissident republicans Gardaí from the Special Detective Unit, assisted by local Gardaí, carried out a search of an open area in Kiltipper, Tallaght this evening, the 14ht of October 2010.

During the course of the search Gardaí recovered 2 shotguns, a pipe bomb, and a quantity of ammunition.

No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.
