Gardai at Clogherhead, Co Louth are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Grangebellew, Drogheda, Co Louth on the 2nd October 2010.
The collision occurred on the Drogheda to Ballymakenny Rd approx 5 miles from Drogheda.
The single vehicle collision occurred at approx. 10.30pm between the vehicle and a ditch. There were 4 occupants (2 male 2 females) in the car at the time of the collision; all 4 were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
Shortly after midnight on the 3rd Oct 2010 one of the males (20yrs) was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other 3 persons; their injuries are described as not being life threatening.
The road remains closed for a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.
