Fatal road traffic collision at Castletroy, Limerick on the 16/10/10

Gardaí at Henry Street in Limerick are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 7pm yesterday evening, Saturday 16th October 2010, at Newcastle, Castletroy.

The collision involved a car and a motorcyclist.  The motorcyclist (a 37 year old man) was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital where he died of his injuries a short time later.

The road was closed at the time but has since re-opened.
