Cannabis seizure in Ashford, Wicklow on the 28/10/10

As part of an ongoing operation Gardai from the Wicklow Division and Garda National Drugs Unit have discovered a cannabis growing operation and seized a large quantity of plants.

The discovery was made following the search of a house in the Ashford area on the 28th October 2010.

Cannabis plants at various stages of growth were seized with a potential street value of €500,000, subject to analysis.

The operation ongoing and there are no further details available at this time.
