Suspect device recovered and two men arrested in Waterford on the 8/11/10

Gardai have arrested two men in Waterford following the discovery of a suspect device.

The device was discovered at approximately 2pm when Gardai stopped a car on the Cork Road at Butlerstown, Waterford.  Two men aged in their 20's were arrested and taken to Waterford Garda Station.

The area was made safe by the Army Bomb Disposal Team and device has been removed for technical examination.

Both men are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Waterford Garda Station.
