Gardai at Newbridge, Co. Kildare are investigating a serious assault which occured at approximately 3.20am on 31st October, 2010 at Standhouse Road in Newbridge.
Three males were assaulted on Standhouse Road by a group of up to six males who were part of a larger group consisting of males and females.
One of the males received serious head injuries as a result of the assault and is in intensive care at Naas General Hospital.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the Standhouse Road or Moorfield areas of Newbridge on 31st October, 2010 between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. or who may have information is asked to contact the Gardai at Newbridge 045-440180, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
