As part of an ongoing operation into the activities of Dublin based crime gangs Gardai conducted a planned search of an area of waste ground in the North Dublin inner city area on the afternoon of the 10/11/10.
Two handguns and a quantity of ammunition (subject to technical examination) were discovered. In a follow up operation a male in his early 20’s was arrested in the North Dublin inner city area yesterday evening.
The male is being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Store Street Garda Station. The firearms and ammunition have been forwarded for technical examination.
