Drug seizure in Galway on the 4/11/10

As part of an ongoing operation into the sale and distribution of controlled drugs in the Western Region.

The local Drug Unit from Galway assisted by the Western Regional Support Unit, National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Criminal Assets Bureau carried out a  search of a house last evening, the 4th November 2010 at 8.30pm at Annaghdown, Headford Road, North Galway.


As part of the search Gardai seized 3.5kgs of cocaine (subject to analysis) with  an estimated street value up to €245,000.
 

Gardai also seized €200,000 in banknotes and a high powered Honda motorcycle. No arrests were made.
