Gardai investigating the death of Pierce Reid on the 7 August 2009 have arrested a 22 year old male in relation to the investigation.
He was arrested in the Clondalkin area this morning, the 18 May 2010, and is currently being detained in Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Gardai are investigating a shooting incident at Lealand Close, Clondalkin, which occurred at 9.50p.m. on Friday, the August 2009. A 25 year old man was shot a number of times in the head outside a house.
The man, who is from the area, was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he later died.
The scene of the shooting is preserved for forsensic technical examination.
Shortly after the shooting a grey BMW motor car was found at Lindisfarne Park and this car is also preserved for technical examination. An attempt had been made to set the car on fire.
