The man being detained in relation to the death has been charged.
The 48 year old man being detained in relation to the death of the woman in Athy on the 13th May, 2010 has been charged, in relation to the death, and is due before Naas District Court shortly.

Gardai at Athy are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a 31 year old woman at a house in Michael Dooley Terrace, Athy shortly after midnight on the 13/5/10.
A 48 year old male has been arrested and is currently detained at Kildare Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The scene has been preserved and the Garda Technical Bureau are at scene. The office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
