Three men are due to appear before Limerick District Court at 3pm today, the 28/5/10.
They are charged in relation to an incident in Limerick on the 26 May 2010. A woman arrested during the same incident remains in custody.

As a part of an on going investigation into Organised Crime in the city, Gardai in Limerick assisted by members from the Emergency Response Unit and Regional Support Unit stopped a car in Drombanna, Ballyneety, Roxboro Road Limerick on the 26 May 2010 at approx 13.10hrs 26 and arrested 4 suspect (3 males and 1 female who are all in their mid 20’s).
They have been detained under the provisions of section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939. A firearm has been recovered ( subject to ballistic analysis ). They have been detained in Henry Street (female), Bruff, Roxboro Road and Mayorstone.
A member of the Emergency Response Unit received facial injuries during the course of the incident. He is currently receiving medical treatment at Limerick Regional hospital. (Injuries are not life threatening). Two suspects received superficial injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
The matter has been referred to the Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission.
