Gardai have arrested two men and seized a quantity of drugs following an operation in Limerick on the 13th of March 2010.
Shortly after 8pm on the 13th, Gardai stopped and searched a car on Ballysimon Road, in Limerick City. Gardai discovered 3.5kg of Cocaine and 3kg of Amphetamine. The total street value of the seizure, subject to analysis, could be close to €300,000.
The two occupants, both men in their 20's, were arrested at the scene and are still currently detained at Henry Street and Roxboro Road Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996, under which they can be held for up to seven days.
