Gardai have released, this evening the male and female that were detained in Ballyfermot and Lucan from the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Both persons were re-arrested and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1988. They will appear before Blanchardstown District Court on Monday morning 22nd March, 2010 at 10.30a.m.

Gardai from the Organised Crime Unit, Garda National Drug Unit assisted by Ronanstown Drug Unit investigating Organised Crime inDublin west arrested 2 people on the 19th March 2010.
The Gardai carried out a search of a house on Rosewood Grove, Lucan yesterday evening the 19th March 2010 and located 40 kilos of Cannabis herb(subject to analysis) with an approx street value of €480,000. Two people were arrested 1 male and 1 female both aged 32yrs. Both are being detained under the provisions of Sec 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
The male is being detained in Ballyfermot and the female in Lucan Garda Station.
