Gardaí in Waterford are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death of a 27 year old man at a house at The Glen, Waterford at approximately 5.30am this morning, the 20/6/10.
The mans body has been removed to Waterford Regional Hospital where a Post Mortem Examination will be carried out this afternoon (20/6/10) by the State Pathologist Professor Marie Cassidy.
A 24 year old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently detained at Waterford Garda Station under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984.
A female who was present in the house also received a number of injuries. She is being treated at Waterford Regional Hospital. (Injuries are not life threatening)
The scene is currently being examined by members of the Garda Technical Bureau.
