Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Clane Village this morning, 26th June 2010.
At approximately 10.45am a female pedestrian, aged in her 80's, was seriously injured when she was struck by an articulated lorry. The woman was taken by Ambulance to Naas General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the lorry, a male aged in his 30's, was taken by Ambulance to Hospital suffering from shock.
The scene was forensically examined and the road has since re-opened.
