Gardaí in Navan are investigating a serious assault which occurred at Academy Street, Navan at approximately 12.30am this morning, the 21/6/10.
A 63 year old male received serious injuries and is being treated at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing to any person who may have witnessed an incident at this location to contact the Incident Room at Navan.
They are particularly anxious to trace the 63 year olds movements prior to the assault. Investigators would also like to speak to a number of people who were in Academy Street at approximately 12.30am this morning (21/6/10)
