Gardai are investigating the circumstances of a serious assault which occurred in the Corbally area of Limerick on 23.7.2010.
A 16 year old male was seriously assaulted on the forecourt of a petrol station at approximately 2145 hours. He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries which are described as critical.
A male aged in his late teens was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Henry St Garda Station.
