One-hundred years of Irish aviation will be celebrated at Ireland’s largest free Air Spectacular on Sunday, 25th July 2010 as part of the Bray Summer Festival 2010.
Bray Summerfest and the Simtech organising team are planning a two-hour ‘centenary celebration’ display to mark this year’s 100th anniversary of Irish aviation, which will feature aerobatics from well known international and national individuals/teams as well as search-and-rescue demonstrations and parachuting from Irish and international acts.

The Bray Summerfest runs across six weeks from early July to mid-August. Its programme includes live music, arts, fireworks, funfairs, garden parties, Irish and international crafts and food markets and beach sports. Full details are available at www.braysummerfest.com.

Traffic Management
As part of An Garda Síochana’s traffic management plan, spectators are strongly advised to arrive in Bray early and to use the DART or Bus Services to travel to Bray.
Very large crowds are expected as are large volumes of traffic and there will be delays.
1) Strand Road, Seapoint Rd and Putland Road and Bray Harbour will be closed for the duration of the display and for approximately one hour before and after the event.
2) There will be designated Free Car Parking at Presentation College Bray, St Thomas’s College Novara Avenue and Herbert Rd Car Park. A free shuttle bus will be available to and from the seafront from Presentation College.
3) There will be Temporary Signage erected to assist motorists regarding diversions. Gardaí and Festival Stewards will be on hand to advise motorists and will distribute information leaflets with full Traffic management plan details
4) Residents will be assisted where possible. Please carry evidence of residence in order to assist Gardaí accommodate you with access.
5) Following display motorist parking at Presentation College Bray on Putland Rd, will be diverted left onto Vevay Rd and towards the M11/ M50 via Southern Cross Road and Boghall Rd. This is the quickest route out of Bray and quickest route to the M50.
6) Persons travelling to Bray for reasons other than the Air Spectacular should note the closures and make arrangements to plan their trip around these routes. We thank you for your co-operation and patience.
Public Order
The consumption of alcohol in a Public Place in Bray is prohibited under the Bray Town Council Bye Laws. In relation to Public Order legislation and the Local Authority Bye Laws - if a person is in possession of a sealed container of intoxicating liquor and it is reasonable for Gardaí to believe that they will consume it in a public place, the alcohol may be seized.
