Gardai at Cahir Garda Station are investigating the circumstances of a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the Cahir to Clonmel Road at Rathmore (4 miles outside Cahir) on the 21st January 2010 at approx 07.45hrs.
The collision was between 2 vehicles. A female 19 yrs (sole occupant) in one vehicle received serious injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene, a male 38 yrs (sole occupant) in the 2nd vehicle received minor injuries. Both were taken to South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel.
The road has been closed for a Forensic Collision Examination. Anticipated to be re-open by 12 noon 21/1/10.
