Gardai at Buncrana are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at Tiernaleague, Carndonagh, Co. Donegal at approximately 4.40am this morning.
A male pedestrian aged in his early 20's was fatally injured when he was struck by a vehicle which failed to remain at the scene.
A Post Mortem examination will be carried out by the Deputy State Pathologist, Dr. Curtis, later today at Letterkenny Hospital.
The scene is currently closed for technical examination and diversions are in place.
