Drug seizure and arrests at Carraigans, Donegal, on the 13/1/10

Gardai have arrested 3 men following a drug seizure at Carraigans, Co. Donegal yesterday.

At approximately 17.00 hours on the 13/1/10 Gardai from Letterkenny carried out a search of a house in the Carraigans area. 

During the course of the search Gardai seized approximately 1,200 Cannabis plants, which subject to analysis may have a street value of up to €500,000.

Three men aged in their late 20's and early 30's have been arrested. They are currently being detained at Letterkenny Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drugs Trafficking Act where they can be held for up to seven days.
