Gardai in Galway have seized what is believed to be over 100 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €60,000.
Gardai in Galway Garda station have arrested a 37 year old man following the search of a house on New Road in Galway City.
The house was searched as part of an intelligence-led operation at approximately 8.00pm yesterday 23rd January 2010.
In the course of the search Gardai seized what is believed to be over 100 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €60,000 (subject to forensic analysis). Gardai also seized what is believed to be cultivation equipment being used as part of a hydroponic cannabis cultivation factory.
The man is being detained in Galway Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
