Following the arrest of three males on Friday the 8/1/10 in Co. Cavan a 38 year old male will appear at the Special Criminal Court in Green Street, Dublin this morning (10/1/10) at 12.00.
The two other males that were arrested have been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí investigating the activities of dissident republicans, have this morning (8/1/10) carried out a search of a private residence in Belturbet, Co. Cavan.
During the course of the search, a firearm was seized and three men were arrested.
The men aged 38, 39, and 44 are detained at Ballyconnell and Cavan Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
Gardai continue to work closely with colleagues in the Police Service of Northern Ireland to address the dissident threat.
