Gardai are appealing to any one who was in the area of the Bank of Ireland in Rathdrum on the morning of 22/1/2010 between 10.30am and 11.30am and who may have seen three raiders wearing white boilersuits to contact them.
Gardai in Wicklow are investigating an armed robbery which took place at 11.15am on Friday 22nd January 2010 in the Bank of Ireland Rathdrum, Co Wicklow. Three men wearing white boilersuits and dust masks entered the bank, one carrying a sledgehammer and one carrying a rifle. They proceeded to threaten the staff and customers, they smashed the security glass, jumped the counter and stole with a sum of money.
They made their escape in a blue Mitsubishi Pajero registration number 95 WW 1116.This was stolen from Mullingar on the 19th January 2010. They drove from the bank up Brewery Place Fairgreen and out the Greenane road where the jeep was abandoned in a field off Wheelers Lane in Garrymore.
Gardai are appealing to any one who was in the area of the Bank of Ireland in Rathdrum on the morning of 22nd January between 10.30am and 11.30am and who may have seen the raiders in the jeep with the distinctive white suits to contact them. We are also asking anybody who may have seen the jeep 95 WW 1116 a blue Pajero anywhere between the 19th and 22nd January to contact the Gardai at Wicklow on 0404 60140.
