Gardai are appealing to the public for assistance following aggravated burglary at a house on Shantalla Road, Galway City on 1/1/10.
The incident occurred at approx. 12.30am, when a male entered a house occupied by an 80 year old woman. The lady was assaulted during the course of the burglary, before managing to raise the alarm. The culprit fled the scene on foot. He is described as tall, approximately 6’ in height, clean shaven, with short dark hair, and aged in his early 20's.
Gardai are appealing to anyone two was in the vicinity of Shantalla Road to between 11pm and 2am to contact them.
