The publication of the report will be followed by a Garda Reserve Graduation at 12 noon.
On Friday, 19th February 2010 the Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy will welcome the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform Mr. Dermot Ahern TD to the Garda College Templemore for the publication of the Report of the An Garda Síochána Training and Development Review Group.
Media are invited to the Garda College for the publication of the report at 11a.m.
The Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy announced the establishment of a Working group to review Garda training and development in February 2008.
The ten-member group drawn from both the public and private sectors was tasked by the Commissioner to examine all training and development in An Garda Síochána for garda and civilian personnel and to make recommendations for the future.
