Gardai in Cahirciveen, Co Kerry are investigating a hit and run collision which occurred at Tinahalla on the Killorglin to Milltown Road (N70) at approx 20.30hrs on the 26th February 2010.
The collision involved a male (51yrs) pedestrian and a vehicle which left the scene. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased was taken to Cork Regional Hospital. .
The road remains closed for a Forensic Collision Examination and is expected to re-open at approx 14.00hrs, diversions are in place.
