Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the M9 (between exits 3 and 4 on the northbound carriageway) near Ballytore, Kildare.
The crash occurred at about 2.45 a.m. on the 14th of February 2010.
One man was fatally injured in the crash, another man and woman who were also traveling in the car were seriously injured. All three were in the same car when it crashed on the motorway and there was no other vehicle involved. They are all believed to be in their 30s and were removed by ambulance to Naas General Hospital.
The road at the scene of the crash is closed and is expected to be closed for most of today.
