Gardaí at Portlaoise Garda Station are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on the 22nd of February 2010 to contact them.
The four car collision occurred on the M7 at Meelick, Portlaoise, Co. Laois on the 22nd February at 12.45am. The collision took place on the southbound carriageway about 1.5 km north of junction 17.
Josephine Poole, aged 58, from Portarlington, Co. Laoise died as a result of the collision. She was the sole occupant of one car.
Five other persons from the other vehicles (3) were taken to Portlaoise General hospital.
