Gardai from the Meath Divisional Drug Unit assisted by local Gardai have seized cannabis plants, herb and made two arrests following a planned search of a house in the Ashbourne area at approximately 1pm on the 8/2/10.
Gardai investigating the cultivation and supply of cannabis in the Meath and Dublin Metropolitan Region West Divisions seized a large quantity of cannabis plants and a quantity of cannabis herb with a combined potential street value of up to €200,000 (subject to analysis). Cultivation equipment were also found.
Two males, one in his 20’s and one in his 40’s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996 at Kells Garda Station.
