Gardai at Ennis Garda Station are seeking witnesses to a serious assault in the town on the 16th December 2010 at about 12.30 a.m.
The incident happened in the garden of a house at Waterpark Heights, Ennis, where a 24 year old man received a number of stab wounds to the body. He was taken by ambulance to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick, where his condition is described as stable.
An investigation in under way into the incident and the scene is preserved for forensic technical examination, which will begin this morning (16/12/10).
Gardai are appealing for anyone who was in the Waterpark Heights area of Ennis last night, the 15th December or the early hours of this morning to contact them on 065 6848100.
