Gardai at Fitzgibbon Street wish to appeal for witnesses to a robbery on the 27th December 2010 on the North Strand Road, Dublin 3.
The robbery occurred at approximately 3.45am near the Fire Station when a white Mazda 01 D registration Taxi stopped to pick up two males. The males got into the taxi and proceeded to threaten the driver and to take a sum of money. The Taxi driver sustained injuries that necessitated him receiving treatment at the Mater Hospital.
The two males are described as being in their 30’s and fled the scene on foot in the direction of Poplar Row.
Gardai are particularly interested in speaking to a second Taxi driver who is believed to have witnessed this incident and who may have followed the two males towards Poplar Row.
