The body of a woman was taken the sea this afternoon the 15th of December 2010. Gardai believe that the body is that of Kathleen Davitt.
Due to the nature of the incident there will be no further information.

Gardai are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 26 year old Kathleen Davitt from Monivea, Galway City who is missing since the 7th December 2010. Kathleens family are concerned for her safety.Kathleen was last seen at approximately 8pm on Quay Street, Galway. She is described as 5’9’’, with black hair and dark green eyes.
When last seen Kathleen was wearing dark jeans and a black jacket. She also wears glasses.
