Firearm seizure in Ashbourne, Meath on the 6/12/10

As part of an operation targeting organised crime gangs Gardai from the Garda National Drugs Unit, supported by Gardai from Ashbourne Garda Station carried our a search in open ground near Ashbourne, Co. Meath on the evening of the 6th December 2010.

During the course of the search Gardai recovered a Bren general purpose machine gun and ammunition. 

There were no arrests and the operation in on-going.
